Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress best known for her parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. Her career began in the 1980s. Her character as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab made her extremely famous. Her next appearance was in Dil which she shared screen space with Aamir. She was born into the Mumbai middle class family and began dancing when she was a child. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but most of those early films failed. She eventually found success and was one of the top actresses within the Indian film industry. In the aftermath of her wedding, she took a break from her acting career until she returned. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit won the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She is also acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
